Registering a Private Limited Company is the most common and recommended method to start a business in Nepal. It provided limited liability to its shareholders and expansion can be made up-to 101 shareholders. Office of Company Registrar (OCR) is responsible for Company Registration, Update, Amendments and Deregistration. Registration process starts with proposed name application and generally takes 7-10 days to obtain registration certificate.
Budget 2080-81 has removed government fee requirement for registration process.
Every registered company has to submit annual return for every financial year within the month of Poush, whereas tax shall be levied only if there is profit in the company as per audited financial statements.
